STINT Forum – Strategic Internationalisation
17 February 2022
Strategic Grants for Internationalisation
The aim of Strategic Grants for Internationalisation is to contribute to the renewal and development of university-wide internationalisation.
This programme is aimed at the university leadership and supports strategic initiatives which build on or benefit from the drive and experiences of individual internationalisation pioneers, while clearly contributing to comprehensive internationalisation.
New for this call: Additional funds are offered to facilitate the mobility of young researchers. Such funding enables them to participate in and build strategic international projects early in their careers. Due to the pandemic, many young researchers have had limited opportunity to stay abroad thus far under their careers.
Strategic grants develop university collaborations
Eva Åkesson is the Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University, a university that has been granted funding through the programme Strategic Grants for Internationalisation several times. Among others, a collaboration between South African and Swedish universities through the South Africa – Sweden University Forum has been initiated. Something that is particularly exciting right now, Eva Åkesson says, is that Swedish institutions have started to collaborate more, together with international partners. The interview is in Swedish.
Applications must be submitted by the vice-chancellor of a Swedish university no later than 15.00 on 17 April 2023.
Each higher education institution may participate in up to two applications per call.
The application must be written in English. Complete applications must be submitted through STINT’s application system
