From 2023, STINT’s programme portfolio is focused on three flagship programmes:
- Strategic Grants for Internationalisation for strategic university-wide internationalisation, including funding to promote the international mobility of young researchers
- STINT International Postdoc for the internationalisation of young researchers
- Teaching Sabbatical for the internationalisation of higher education, in particular teaching
In addition to these programmes, applications for Initiation Grants are accepted twice during 2023. The Mobility Grants programme is placed on hold, and future calls will be made as needed for specific initiatives.
Strategic Grants for Internationalisation
The aim of the programme is to contribute to the renewal and development of university-wide internationalisation.
The programme is aimed at university leaderships and supports strategic initiatives.
Additional funding is offered to promote the international mobility of young researchers as part of projects.
Application: The call is closed.
STINT International Postdoc
The aim of the programme is to give young researchers the opportunity to gain international experience and expand their international networks.
The programme supports postdoctoral stays at higher education institutions outside of the EU/EFTA/UK and is aimed at researchers who have recently obtained their doctorates from Swedish universities.
Application: The call is published in June 2023.
The aim of the programme is to renew and develop teaching offered by Swedish higher education institutions by giving teaching staff the opportunity to gain international experience and new knowledge from selected institutions in Asia and the US.
Participants are nominated by the leadership of the Swedish higher education institution.
Application: The call is published in May 2023.
Through their short processing times, Initiation Grants facilitate the implementation of one-year mobility projects that contribute to the development of new and strategically significant international partnerships.
Applicants must hold doctorates and be working at Swedish higher education institutions.
Application: Apply before 12 June 2023.
