The latest version of STINT’s Internationalisation Index is presented. Results show that the pandemic clearly had less of a negative impact than in the preceding year. Overall, the degree of internationalisation at Swedish higher education institutions has recovered and improved.

Since 2012, STINT’s annual Internationalisation Index has measured the degree of internationalisation at Swedish higher education institutions (HEIs), based on several factors such as their research, the international mobility of students and staff, and the course offering in languages other than Swedish. The Index covers the 28 HEIs with substantial research output and is updated annually.
