In a rapidly changing, geopolitically complex world, in which more countries take leading positions in science and innovation, it is increasingly important to understand global developments through expert trend analysis and strategic relationship building.<\/strong><\/p>\n STINT has established a global network of on-site academic representatives on different continents to support Swedish higher education institutions\u2019 strategic efforts by providing substantiated evidence and international perspectives. Their insights and local embeddedness facilitate deeper contextual understanding of research policy trends, science ecosystems, and strategic opportunities. These include science diplomacy, in which STINT acts as a national resource for promoting dialogue, cooperation, and trust-building in the global knowledge system.<\/p>\n STINT\u2019s Overseas Team is presented in this recorded seminar, as is their work as representatives and bridge-builders for the Swedish knowledge system by contributing analysis, evidence, and networks to support the internationalisation efforts of Swedish actors.<\/p>\n The profound changes and shifts taking place in the global scientific landscape, with the focus of scientific development moving from the countries around the North Atlantic to the regions around the Pacific Ocean, are highlighted in the keynote by Dr HC Hagman, Deputy Director General and Senior Adviser for Strategic Analysis at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n A panel comprising representatives of Swedish academia share their perspectives on the need for expert trend analysis and strategic on-site relationship building to navigate an increasingly complex landscape.<\/p>\n
