STINT informs about the China initiative and the ways in which STINT can support Swedish higher education institutions regarding trend analysis and strategic cooperation with China.<\/b><\/p>\n
As the importance of cooperation with China in higher education and research increases, STINT has launched a new initiative focusing on presence and trend analysis in China. The aim of the initiative is to improve the strategies, activities and networks of Swedish higher education institutions in China. This is done through contributing knowledge and competence to the Swedish higher education institutions and research funders on China\u2019s development in the area of higher education and science.<\/p>\n
As part of this initiative, STINT will develop strategic partnerships through building long-term and strategic relations with higher education institutions, research funders, think tanks and government agencies on both the Swedish and Chinese ends. In addition, we will conduct trend analysis in the areas of research, higher education and innovation in China. We are also planning on providing direct support to the senior leadership of Swedish higher education institutions.<\/p>\n
Our presence in China is the result of close cooperation with the Swedish Consulate General in Shanghai and the Embassy in Beijing, as well as Swedish higher education institutions and research funders.<\/p>\n
STINT\u2019s new report\u00a0Academic Collaboration Sweden\u2013China<\/a><\/i>\u00a0will also be launched at the breakfast.<\/p>\n Since 2015, STINT has provided the largest programme for research cooperation between Sweden and China.
