The world is rapidly changing and becoming increasingly polarised, complex, and uncertain. These current trends are leading to an increased focus on national security. At the same time, there are considerable benefits to international academic cooperation.<\/strong><\/p>\n The changing situation is affecting many aspects of academia and academic internationalisation. There is a pressing concern that framing research in academia as a security issue will undermine global research collaboration and hamper the continuation of the rapid development of science seen in recent decades. The urgent need to address global challenges effectively underscores the necessity of effective international academic cooperation. The trend towards increased securitisation, greater uncertainty, and associated challenges highlights the importance of a continuous, inclusive discussion of the fundamental values of responsible international academic cooperation and its benefits.<\/p>\n STINT has invited speakers from the USA and Sweden to share their thoughts, experiences, and reflections on these issues, and we encourage your active participation.<\/p>\n Agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n
