In this webinar, Dr Niklas Z Kviselius, STINT\u2019s representative in North America, will guide you through a newly published STINT-report on the USA. The U.S. has the most technologically powerful economy in the world and its firms are at or near the forefront of technological advances in areas such as information technology, pharmaceuticals, and medical, aerospace, and military equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n A research-friendly narrative is currently gaining ground in the U.S., with bipartisan leadership and robust proposals from both houses of congress and the Biden administration not only to keep the lights on in universities and laboratories, but to increase science funding and start investing better for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n The emphasis is on giving an outside observer and potential future collaboration partner some familiarity with the U.S. system. Key federal actors are introduced, as well as some of the most influential actors in three major states (California, Texas and New York).
