Grants for Teaching Sabbaticals
The purpose of Grants for Teaching Sabbaticals is to further develop Swedish higher education. STINT wants to contribute to educational renewal and the creation of new networks by giving Swedish researchers and university lecturers, who are passionate about education, international experiences relevant to their teaching role.
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent and be employed by a Swedish higher education institution (HEI). Applicants are responsible for finding an appropriate host at an HEI abroad. The stay abroad must be continuous with a duration between 2 and 5 months. Stays outside the EU/EFTA and United Kingdom are eligible (find out more about STINT and Brexit).
Applications are reviewed by experts. The main review criterion is the anticipated short and long-term impact on the university’s teaching activities on different levels, from the individual via the department to the whole university.
STINT co-funds the teaching sabbatical for the applicant and accompanying family members for up to five months. Among the eligible costs in the application are return economy class trips between Sweden and the host HEI, and accommodation.
Complete applications must be submitted through STINT’s application system.
The call closes at 15.00 on 17 March 2022.
