How can we ensure that higher education and research is more responsibly internationalised?
The two research projects funded by STINT as part of the Grants for Internationalisation Research: Responsible Internationalisation call are presented in this webinar. These projects have been ongoing since 2024, and the webinar presents an opportunity to share the results and reflections obtained thus far.
STINT’s initiative aims to increase knowledge of how academic collaborations may be conducted to combine transparency, quality, and responsibility in a time of complex international relations. The two projects investigate for instance how higher education institutions may navigate risks and opportunities, develop strategies for taking responsibility, and safeguard trusting partnerships in a volatile global context.
Programme:
- Introduction – Dr Andreas Göthenberg, ED, STINT
- Background to the call – Mr Albin Gaunt, Policy Manager, STINT
- Presentation of research projects – results, central insights, and practical value:
– Dr Christer Ljungwall, Chalmers: Responsible internationalisation of research in an increasingly hostile international environment
– Dr Tommy Shih, KTH: Developing state-of-the-art knowledge on responsible internationalisation
- Questions and discussion
