STINT Frukostmöten 21 och 22 maj

Publicerad 2015-05-11

STINT inbjuder till frukostmöten den 21 och 22 maj kl 08:30-09:30

Developing an integrated British Council framework for international higher education
Prof. Rebecca Hughes, Director, International Higher Education, British Council
May 21, 2015, 08:30-09:30, Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre, Nils Ericssons Plan 4, Stockholm

The approach taken by the British Council to engage with the Higher Education sector has changed over time as UK universities themselves internationalise and overseas universities also embrace globalisation. Professor Hughes will introduce the work of the British Council in general and the work with Higher Education and internationalisation in particular.  She will outline some of the history of the institution, its mission, and its relationships with the University sector.  These relationships work across partnerships; policy and practice; and mobility.  She will end her short talk with an overview of the current activity of the British Council with and for the HE sector in the UK and future directions.

Global Research Networks: Experiments in Internationalisation
Prof. John Hearn, Chief Executive, Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) and Chairman, Australia Africa Universities Network (AAUN)
May 22, 2015, 08:30-09:30, STINT, Mäster Samuelsgatan 60, 9tr., Stockholm

In the arena of international higher education and research, the role and influence of leading universities have advanced as they become thought leaders and participants, rather than the ivory towers of the past. On the frontiers of such developments, international university networks have encouraged teamwork in order to achieve more than the capacity of individual universities. What are the indicators for success or failure of international university networks and what are the priorities, possible solutions, and contributions that can be gained through international partnerships and networks?

Anmälan sker till stint.forum@stint.se eller Agneta Granlund 08-6711990 senast den 20 maj. Antalet platser är begränsat. Frukost serveras från 08:15.
