Intelligent Systems for Societal Challenges of the 21st Century
As a result the agreement signed with the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) the STINT Foundation hosted a joint workshop in Stockholm on April 24-25; “Intelligent Systems for Societal Challenges of the 21st Century”.
The event was a “planning workshop” for a select group of researchers from Sweden and Korea. Senior researchers were asked to bring along a younger colleague/PhD-student as they should be encouraged to for their own international networks.
The objective of the workshop was three fold: Information about on-going research, identification of potential topics for joint research/educational programmes and mechanisms for implementation of such efforts. A great number of ideas were presented and discussions on future cooperation have been initiated.
In connection with the workshop, a seminar “Future Focus: Korea” was arranged by the STINT Foundation in cooperation with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science (IVA) and the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).
