Sweden-Korea Science and Technology Forum

The STINT Foundation has for some years actively worked for increased academic exchange between Sweden and Korea and is now proceeding to further strengthen Swedish-Korean scientific contacts, this time together with VINNOVA.
The Sweden-Korea Science and Technology Forum on IT and Biotech, was arranged on 17 December 2007 in Stockholm and was a first initiative to bring together researchers from the two countries and to facilitate research collaborations on the topics:
- Broadband - Networks and Services
- Biotechnology - Genes, Proteins and Disease; Nanobiotechnology and Diagnostics
The topics have been selected to showcase areas where both countries have advanced research as well as strong industrial interests.
The presentations given provided an insight into leading research in each country, and was of interest to an audience from industry as well as academia. The final session of the forum was a joint discussion on possibilities and opportunities for Swedish-Korean collaborations.
The Sweden-Korea Science and Technology Forum was arranged jointly by VINNOVA and STINT from Sweden and KICOS (Korea Foundation for International Cooperation of Science and Technology) from Korea.
