Scholarships for doctoral studies: Conditions

Scholarships for doctoral studies may vary are around SEK 100 000, for a minimum of four months at the foreign institution depending on country. A budget is not required.

The scholarship can not be combined with salary or other forms of support for doctoral studies (utbildningsbidrag).

To ensure that the students benefit from the visits, it is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that firm contacts are made with the foreign host institution. STINT encourages the involvement of the student’s Swedish department.

A request for a travel grant for the Swedish supervisor for a maximum of a one-week stay at the foreign institution may be included in the application.

STINT reserves the right to decrease or withhold a STINT scholarship if the recipient is given support for the same objective from another source. The scholarship holder shall inform STINT of any given support.
