NYU Abu Dhabi new partner institution within Excellence in Teaching

Published 2012-09-12

STINT is proud to announce that the cooperation with New York University (NYU) within the programme Excellence-in-Teaching now also includes New York University’s campus in the United Arab Emirates, NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD).

The collaboration with NYUAD offers yet another exciting opportunity for university teachers at Swedish institutions to become involved and embedded in high-quality higher education abroad in a very dynamic environment. Working in this rapidly developing environment is a great challenge and only experienced and well-merited teachers/professors will be accepted. The experience that the accepted candidate will gain is expected to become highly valuable, both for the individual as well as his/her institution in Sweden.

The collaboration with NYU Abu Dhabi differs slightly from the model commonly used in the Excellence-in-Teaching programme, in that agreements will be signed between the candidate’s home institution in Sweden and NYUAD.

NYU is aiming to become the world´s first “Global Network University.” In September 2010, NYUAD opened its doors, marking a bold step in higher education. The university is the first large-scale liberal arts and science campus abroad run by a leading American research university, where complete education is offered to undergraduates from all over the world.

Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates. It is a dynamic and progressive region, with a strong focus on higher education, technology and science. Please click HERE for further information.
