STINT invests 9MSEK in 3 strategic internationalisation projects

STINT’s board has decided to invest 8,998,988 SEK in the following 3 projects within the Strategic Grants for Internationalisation programme for the time period 2016-2019:

  • ”MIRAI-Connecting Swedish and Japanese Universities through Research, Education and Innovation”, with Lund University as main applicant and Chalmers, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Stockholm University, Umeå University and Uppsala University as co-applicants, were granted 4,998,988 SEK.
  • ”Doctoral Supervisor Training – A Hub for Collaboration and Internationalisation”, with Karolinska Institutet as main applicant was granted 2,000,000 SEK.
  • ”Mutual Innovation Capacity (MIC) - Challenge Driven Education for Global Impact”, with KTH Royal Institute of Technology as main applicant was granted 2,000,000 SEK.

In total 9 applications were assessed in this year’s round.

Sweden has three international universities in the top category

STINT Internationalisation Index indicates how international the universities in Sweden are. This year three universities are in the top category of internationalisation. Last year´s prize winner Stockholm School of Economics is now accompanied by Chalmers and KTH.
